We are the Delta Iota Chapter of Sigma Kappa at California State University, Chico. As any member of Sigma Kappa can relay, when you become a sister of Sigma Kappa you become apart of an organization that encompasses sisters of all ages from coast to coast. Besides sharing a commitment to excellence, we all share the same principals and purposes. From sisterhood to friendship, from focusing on scholastic achievements to service, Sigma Kappa enriches the life of its members.

The purpose of Sigma Kappa Sorority is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual, and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities.

Chartered: The Delta Iota Chapter of Sigma Kappa was founded in 1959 in Chico, California.

Fun Fact: Every Sigma Kappa house has a spiral staircase. 

In the 2011-2012 school year the Delta Iota Chapter of Sigma Kappa at California State University, Chico completed over 4,000 hours. In 1954 Sigma Kappa became the first national sorority to recognize the need for continued, comprehensive work on the study of aging and the needs of elderly populations.
